The striker assumes a “hands-up” stance for self defense (modified from the “beggers stance”).
This drill is meant to hone the reflexes, speed, power, efficiency, and precision of the said techniques.
Note: this is an excellent and pragmatic technique for self defense situations.
As well it can be converted for San Da (free fight sparring)purposes: the finger jab can be converted to a regular jab and the groin kick converted to a front kick to the torso.

The counter striker assumes a “hands-up” stance for self defense (modified from the “beggers stance”). The feeder is throwing hammer fist, crosses, and uppercuts for the counter striker to intercept, sink/trap, and counter.
